EASYSALVAGE.com

easysalvage.com logo Image EASYSALVAGE.com (http://www.easysalvage.com) was formulated during the spring of 2000 taking the lead in providing online auctions; this offered salvage companies a new route to market, allowing viewing and sale of cars 24/7. Customer’s can bid online for vehicles, bid on multiple auctions and use SMS to place bids and receive notifications on their bids.
Since then the expertise of different companies both new and old came together to construct the most straight forward, user friendly and cost effective online auction.

They specialise in auctioning motor salvage vehicles online on behalf of their Designated Auction Partners - one example of their partners being T L Harvey Ltd. In association with their D.A.P's and their other partners they can also collect and store vehicles. The business is aimed mainly at the UK market, but they also welcome international customers.

In order to maintain the auction and their web presence, they have a team of skilled and dedicated staff on hand to update the site daily with new cars, motorbikes & commercial vehicles.

In 2006 consolidation and intense rivalry within the industry has lead to many salvage businesses re-evaluating their systems and processes. Easysalvage’s service and business development was suffering due to the downtime encountered by employees and business partners when locating cars. The current process was manual and was sometimes comprised.

Together with the dedicated team of West Midlands Mobile & Wireless staff based at the University of Wolverhampton; Easysalvage has designed a robust and easy to use wireless labelling system incorporating Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) & Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. These technologies are becoming a more cost effective solution in today’s market place enabling Small & Medium Enterprises like Easy Salvage to take advantage of the benefits they offer. The system enables Easysalvage to label the vehicles and mark the location using RFID tags, allowing the vehicle location process to be significantly streamlined. The system is designed to integrate with “off the shelf” identification and location technologies and facilitate an identification and data capture system product that would be attractive to a variety of businesses and industries with similar procedural needs.
